Quack Quack
When the weather is warm and nice, James and I like to walk Dada to work down the greenway by our house. There's a nice wide path for James to run on and/or for a stroller. There's a little stream that runs along next to the path, and there's plenty of wildlife to see. There are also, to James' everlasting delight, tons of rocks and sticks to play with. Therefore, we often just take walks down the greenway when we don't have a certain destination in mind, and we get to see lots of fun stuff, like birds and squirrels and bugs and, today, worms.
But the other day, we had an extra-special fun day...feeding the ducks that have recently returned to our pond.
As you might have guessed by their proximity to the camera, they are pretty friendly. In fact, the first time we walked up to the pond when they were in it, they made a beeline for us, although they lost interest fairly quickly when we didn't produce the goods. So we went home and got some bread and came back to feed them. The Boy loved it, although when it was his turn, the bread ended up in his mouth more often than in the pond.
And can you guess what we saw on the way home?
Squirrels!
*Insert sound of squirrel munching on a nut and/or the little old man "he-he-heeeee" noises that they make...James loves making the sound effects.*
