Triangle Doulas!

WEll, the doula website has been finished since Saturday, but since the boys have been so sick and I have been so exhausted...we haven't really managed to send anyone to see it yet!

Luckily, James is feeling better. Last night was pretty rough but it was mostly because he's teething again. What a week! And Ben is feeling better too, I think, but right now he's sleeping in, because he's not back up to 100% himself yet. And I'm feeling as good as I can for someone who's now had 3 nights of highly interrupted sleep!

So, if you've been wondering what I've been up to lately and what all this doula stuff is about, go check it out. Our website is at Triangle Doulas. (And just FYI, if you want to buy anything like the necklaces or slings or bibs, it's Rebecca who sells those, not me.)

Sorry no new pics...will try to get a few up in the near future when we're all better!

Tub Time

As you may have noticed in our last photos, James' hair is getting just a bit long...

He is also getting to the age where bathtime can be really fun and full of giggles. So we decided to experiment with some shampoo and the results are priceless. James also really likes chewing on the washcloth, as you can plainly see.

In other news, the doula website that some of you have heard about is almost ready for some traffic! I will post when it is available for your viewing pleasure, but in the meantime, here's the photo from my bio:

We hope you are all well and happy, and assure you that we are the same...Now that the tooth has come through and we are all mostly over our colds. Whew! Peace and love, till next time~

Our friend Tylenol

Having achieved the advanced age of nine months, and having just cut our very first tooth, we find ourselves keeping constant company with that old parental favorite, Tylenol. It is wherever we go these days, and wherever we go, there it is. It even appears alongside us in virtually every picture, like the spider and cricket in Mercer Mayer's Little Critter books.

But, wait, is that safe? Isn't it somewhat....bad....to be constantly giving your child Tylenol? Well, I suppose that theory might need investigation if in fact we were dosing him. However, we find that for our child to receive Tylenol's beneficial effects, we need only hand it over to him for this kind of treatment:

That's right, CHEW THERAPY! Thank goodness for Tylenol, whose dropper has (on its outside) just the right rubbery soft-but-hard consistency for my child's toothiness. Now, we will be the first to admit that "toothiness" isn't always easy to face...but you know what is lots of fun? Peekaboo!

James really likes to stand behind my chair while I sit here at the computer and type. I'll turn around every once in awhile and say the magic word ("Boo!") and elicit squeals of delight from Young Master here. And, it must be said, sometimes the mommy and daddy squeal with delight at the kid's squeals of delight as well.

So all is well around here once again, although the past week has been really rough with all the teething and all the fussing. Luckily, we seem to be back to our chipper selves, even though we've just come down with a cold. Ah, well. Until next time!

Quick Post

Hi all,

We've been really worn out lately because...James has a tooth! And we think there are more to come in the near future. We're all doing well except for poor James' aching mouth...but busy as always and tired out and allergic to everything still too. James recently learned how to wave goodbye and can bounce a ball back and forth with us. He stands on his own for long periods of time, especially when we distract him with something, like when he's chewing on his teething biscuits. (Yum!)

Yep, he's pretty amazing! But we find that we don't have time to say much else right now...Hopefully pictures will be coming soon. Love to all!
