Quick update

Hi all.

Thanks to everyone who posted, and I'm so glad we got the posting fixed! It's good to know you read our blog.

Sorry to have been remiss in my posting habits lately. We are trying to get ready for our trip to Oklahoma and recently realized how much WORK that entails! Also...since James figured out he could walk this past Monday (!) we have been extra-super-hyperbusy with him. In case you haven't heard already, here's what has happened on that front:

Last week, James began taking steps from place to place on his own, but he only did it 2 or 3 times and never NOTICED that he was doing it. If he realized it, then he fell down. But on Monday. he started to walk and noticed he was doing it and looked at me like Holy Cow, Mom! Look what I can DO! And then he started laughing with joy and toddling all around the room. He fell on his little tushie quite a lot that day, but also learned how to stand up unassisted from the floor (lots of said tushie up in the air for that maneuver). Then the next day he walked alone on the sand, which we felt was a pretty big accomplishment...And by Friday he could pretty much walk across the room. Now, granted, it might take him forever to do it....but he can! And there is nothing cuter than a toddling little toddler.

We were going to post a video that we took of him on Monday, but Ben can't get it onto the computer yet...so we'll let you know when that finally happens. If there is other news around here besides the walking and our upcoming trip, my mind is too occupied with those things to think of it. I'll try to post again before we leave with some pictures and things. Oh! I know something I was proud of that I wanted to tell everyone, that's probably not a big deal to anyone but me...I was babysitting Olivia yesterday and the kids were both needing naps but not willing to stop paying attention to each other to fall asleep...so I put them BOTH in slings! That's right, I wore two babies at once. I am SO COOL! =)

Okay, that's all for now. Peace and love. Until next time.

Comments, please!

Hi everyone,
We have been hearing a lot of stories about how people have tried to post here but were unable to for one reason or another. Well, originally, we had comments open, but then we got comment spam, so I made it where you had to do some letter verification in order to leave a message. However, this didn't work right for some reason, so I'm moving to a simpler way: You comment, and then Blogger will send the comment to me in my email for approval, and then your comment will appear. Voila!

So please, make some comments if you look on our page. We like to know that people care! Peace and love, till next time~

Post-script: One of our friends has graciously provided us with a little more "Giant Moose," since most of our postings tend to be a little bit more focused on James. Here you go: A GIANT MOOSE. Thank you, Matt!

Mother's Day Picture Bonanza

Our very first Mother's Day with a kid has gone smashingly well! And in celebration, we've decided to share a TON of new photos with you all. Hope you enjoy!

James likes helping Daddy play the guitar. =)

And he likes his bathtime...which also provides endless hair-shenanigan fun for the mama and the dada.

Here you can see his first tooth! But in case you have trouble making it out, never fear! We have a slightly closer shot of it:

Recently we have started a playgroup with two of the moms that live very close by to us...Gwen and Ping...and the second meeting was at our house, which finally forced us to clear some space in the living room to fit all three babies and all three mommies. Here are Olivia, James, and Lily, who don't necessarily play together so much as next to each other...But it's still very cute.

And this is why our house always looks like a tornado just blew through: Mr. Destructo.

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! James is very excited to get to see all his grandmas soon! =)

A Giant Moose!

So, about a month ago, Ben and James and I went over to Adam and Miranda's house for dinner. It was the first time we got to meet their new puppy, a coonhound named Dixie. We were very excited about this as this is the kind of dog we would LOVE to have but as yet have no space or extra money for. So it was nice to get to spend some time loving on the sweet hound and also seeing James' reaction to her. Adam took lots of pictures that night, and I thought I'd post one today because we are dogsitting Dixie today and took her on a fun walk. James loved her then and he loves her now, and he thinks it's especially fun when she licks him. There is another picture of the two of them somewhere where a huge grin is lighting up his face, but this is the best one I could find tonight. You can see the anticipation, how he's thinking, ooh, ooh, what's the doggie gonna do NOW?

We need a hound dog!
